www.nytco.com - The New York Times Company announced today that its discussion with analyst Peter Appert at the Goldman Sachs Internet Conference 2008 will be accessible via live webcast on www.nytco.com/investors/index.html. Janet Robinson, president and CEO, and Martin Nisenholtz, senior vice president, digital operations, will discuss the Company's digital strategy and initiatives.

The

webcast will begin at 8:45 a.m. P.D.T. (11:45 a.m. E.D.T.) on Wednesday, May 21. An archive of the webcast will be available on the Company's Web site for 30 days.
