Lutetia Patrimoine (UCITS) fund delivered a:

- performance of +8.18% for a volatility of 1.91% over the past 12 months
- Sharpe ratio of 4.12 over the past 12 months
- positive performance in January despite a strong pullback in the markets

The Lutetia Patrimoine (UCITS) fund, which celebrated its fourth anniversary in November 2013, ranks among the best market-neutral funds on the market. Since its inception, it has outperformed the Bloomberg Equity Market Neutral index by 3.04% per year on average and received numerous awards.

A fund with daily liquidity and low volatility, the Lutetia Patrimoine fund fulfills its cash diversification objective by providing a return of more than 2.51% per year on average above the Eonia. With an absolute priority given to

capital preservation, it held up extremely well during the financial crisis of 2011, ending the year flat.

The main strategy of this fund is merger arbitrage, in which Lutetia Capital is one of the leading European actors. The fund has $130 million under management and the firm is the advisor of French bank Société Générale for their merger arbitrage indices. After a barren period in 2012, the cycle once again proved profitable for M&A transactions; the start of 2014 has even witnessed the best volumes since 2000.

The fund strategy is also available with a x2 leverage via the SGI Merger Arbitrage index (SGIXMAU INDEX), which posted a performance of 16.41% for a volatility of 3.95% over the past 12 months and ranks as the 1 st global merger arbitrage index over the period.

With equities markets fully valued and bond funds penalized by negative expectations, few absolute return strategies offer today such attractive risk-adjusted returns.

Jean-François Comte and Fabrice Seiman, managers of the Lutetia Patrimoine fund, state “For over four years, we have been pleased to offer a regular performance uncorrelated to the markets and are very optimistic for 2014; our objective is to deliver returns similar to that of the past 12 months.”
