Continuing its mission to provide high-quality, nurturing assisted living residences for aging adults living with Alzheimer’s and memory impairment, Dallas-based real estate developer, The LaSalle Group, Inc. ( www.lasallegroup.com : ), announced today the ground breaking of its first property in the Houston area.

“This is the start of what we anticipate will be sustained growth for our business in

the Houston area,” commented Mitchell Warren, president of LaSalle. Growing its Autumn Leaves ® brand of assisted living residences, Autumn Leaves of The Woodlands will be the 13 th property developed by LaSalle. The LaSalle Group has 10 Autumn Leaves communities operating successfully in the Dallas/Fort Worth and Chicago areas with two additional communities under construction in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.

The ground breaking of Autumn Leaves of The Woodlands is scheduled for Nov. 17 and will take place at 10700 Montfair Blvd., The Woodlands, TX 77382. Initial construction on the new residence is already underway and is scheduled to be completed by June 2010. The property will feature 38 units and accommodate approximately 46 residents.

“With 5 million Americans 65 or older suffering from Alzheimer’s and 10 million Baby Boomers expected to develop the condition, there is a growing need for this specialized care, and as a family-owned and operated company with more than 10 years of experience in designing and building these specialized residences, we are uniquely positioned to provide comfortable, state-of-the-art buildings that are a safe, nurturing environment for individuals living with Alzheimer’s and memory impairment,” Warren said. “Our partners and investors alike recognize the increasing need for these types of services catering to the senior population and are committed to our continued growth as we provide for this underserved market.”

Maintaining the values and expertise of its family-owned and operated business model, Lake Superior Contracting, LaSalle’s in-house, full-service construction division, will coordinate and manage the design and construction of the new property. Leveraging a long-standing work history with LaSalle, Lake Superior Contracting will ensure the distinctive and research-based structural design attributed to all of LaSalle’s properties. Similarly, affiliate Constant Care Management Company will skillfully manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of Autumn Leaves of the Woodlands, as it does for all of the Autumn Leaves communities.
