This fall, the Excellence in Christian Music Academy (ECMA) will present its 4th Annual Music Awards and Concert Gala. This celebratory annual event will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 5:00 PM at the legendary THEARC Theater located in Washington, DC. Music fans will enjoy a full evening of gospel performances featuring the best independent music artists throughout the United States. During this same weekend, ECMA will recognize the accomplishments of Independent Gospel Music artists through their annual awards show. These artists have completed the ECMA training curriculum providing them with a full array of tools necessary for being successful in the music industry.
The ECMA 2014 Coaches and Team will pay tribute to the following artists with the “Musical Legacy of Excellence “award: Alyce White, Cynthia Wilson, Gessye Gee, Gwendolyn Odum, J. Bruce White, James Daniels, Jubilant Nation, Juliet Nichole Jones, Kelly McGlenn, Lekisha Earles, Mara Suggs, Michael Stewart, Nneka Best, Quita Tucker, Tanya Hazzard Liverman, Theresa Burke-Pinkney, Tiffany K Edmonds, Tolu MilDe, Valerie Rogers Woodard, William Tolson, Dana D Williams and Jamie Hardges.
Gospel Artists Receive All-Inclusive Training through ECMA
established Gospel Music artists can learn all about becoming successful through ECMA’s comprehensive Christian-based music industry training program. Participants take a full array of classes including learning stage presence, vocal techniques, media relations, career management, distribution and public speaking. ECMA is now accepting registrations for the orientation program, which is $125 per person. Interested individuals can register directly through ECMA’s website.
Become an ECMA Strategic Music Partner
ECMA is inviting companies to join their Strategic Music Partnership (SMP), which is a network of music industry professionals, artists, songwriters, publicists, music supporters and industry stakeholders. Currently, SMP has 27 coordinators located around the country in 20 states including Maryland, Virginia, Georgia and California. This group shares a variety of resources including performance opportunities, legislative information and technology advancements in the music industry. They also play an integral role in sharing advertising and promotions of music-related events and services.
