Beam Global Spirits & Wine, Inc. [Fortune Brands, Inc. (NYSE:FO)], a global leader in premium spirits, champions The Century Council in their launch of several educational programs. The Century Council, a not-for-profit organization funded by distillers and dedicated to fighting drunk driving and underage drinking launched:

- "Alcohol 101 Plus"" for high school seniors was launched

in Buchanan, TN in partnership with the Governor's Highway Safety Office. This program includes an innovative, interactive CD-ROM that aims to help students make safe and responsible decisions about alcohol. To help extend the "Alcohol 101 Plus"" program, "Lead to Live" was utilized with more than 100 student leaders who will take the resources back to their schools to educate their peers about the important issue.
- "Brandon Tells His Story" - an educational program aimed at teens and their parents. Shortly before his high school prom, Brandon Silveria was involved in a near-fatal crash after drinking a few beers at a high school party. Brandon and his father Tony speak to local communities throughout the country and share this tragic story of drunk driving and underage drinking. In November, Brandon spoke to students in Wood River Junction, RI and Cumberland, RI with the support of Attorney General Patrick Lynch.
"We are committed to supporting The Century Council and their important mission to educate communities about the dangers and repercussions of drunk driving and underage drinking," stated Chris Swonger, senior vice president of corporate affairs, Beam Global Spirits & Wine, Inc. "Beam Global understands the importance of The Century Council's programs to our community and we are honored to work with them to help start the dialogue between parents and children regarding the dangers of drunk driving and underage drinking."
