Participants will be treated with a hearty brunch and a tour on the premises that will include a guided visit to the Angel Orensanz Museum in the third floor and a visit to the Art Gallery in the building on Norfolk St., in the lower East Side of Manhattan.

Visitors will enjoy art, company and conversation in all three floors of one of the oldest and most significant buildings in New York, now a vibrant home for arts and culture in New York City. The building, in a very good level of preservation brought by artist Angel Orensanz, conveys an electrifying atmosphere of architectural and devoted management.

The Angel Orensanz Foundation is within walking distance of the New Museum, St. Mark’s in the Bowery, Educational Alliance, Henry Street Settlement, the NYU School of the Arts, The Clemente Soto Velez Center and of dozens of new and thriving art galleries. The Foundation is putting together a library of historical pictures, documents and books on the cultural, political and social trajectories of the Lower East Side and early New York.

The Angel Orensanz Foundation keeps a presence every year at The Armory Show in New York, ARCO in Madrid and the Basel Art Fair in Miami, Art Palm Beach and other world cultural encounters throughout the year and in various events like Art Miami, Venice, Basel, Moscow, Madrid, The Caribbean and Tokyo.

The foundation runs an active and extensive social media communications service devoted to the arts and culture, including a web site www.Angelorensanz.com, a bimonthly magazine, Artscape, www.artscapemagazine.com and other channels of communication open to artists and specialists of the arts community internationally.

The Angel Orensanz Foundation for the Arts was established in 1992 as an artistic and cultural resource open to artists, writers, thinkers and leaders from all over the world, and to the community around them. Over the years the foundation have welcomed and been inspired by Philip Glass and Spike Lee; Arthur Miller, Alexander McQueen, Salman Rushdie, Maya Angelou and Alexander Borovsky; Elie Wiesel and Chuck Close.

The Angel Orensanz Foundation cooperates with PS1/MoMA; The Goethe Institute and the Whitney Museum, New York; The Italian Cultural Institute, New York University; Columbia University and Princeton University; the National Russian Museum of St. Petersburg and the Royal Shakespeare Co. of London; The World Council of Peoples for the UN, the United Jewish Council and the American Academy in Rome, among others. The foundation also works with independent artists from all over the world to develop their educational and artistic projects.
