Thailand's Princess Galyani Vadhana's health is declining, the royal household has announced.

The 84-year-old princess – who has been in hospital since October after suffering an infarction on the left side of her brain as a result of occlusion of a cerebral artery – is also having difficulty breathing.
A statement said: 'Her kidney function is also declining. Supportive treatment is continuing.' It added that her level of consciousness remained low.
Yesterday (27.12.07) Her niece, Princess Chulabhorn Valayalaksana, visited her at the Siriraj Hospital.
At the hospital, a large number of people showed up to wish her good health and queued to sign get-well messages. Among them were high-profile figures such as Election Commission chairman Apichart Sukhagganond and Miss Thailand World 2007 Kanokkorn Jaichuen. Dararat Mahadamrongkul, chief executive of Trocadero Group, presented Bt4.8 million from the sales of a special-edition wristwatch to celebrate the 84th birthday of the Princess to her secretary.
