No longer should the Bloods, Crips, or Gansta rap take total blame for annihilating their fellow men in the black community, the destruction has gone uptown. Last week, Jesse Jackson wanted to castrate Barack Obama - This week, Academy Award nominee Terrence Howard lashes out against funny-man Bill Cosby...
Howard says, "I was 19 and had
just moved to New York from Cleveland, I got on 'The Cosby Show' on my second audition ever."
He confronted the comic on the set of his hit show when his scenes never made it to the airwaves following his firing. He says of his exchange with Cosby, "'I'm a man just like you.' He didn't like it like it, and the casting agent never took my calls again."
I'm wondering what the heck "I'm a man just like you" has to do with anything? Such a stupid argument when getting fired. Try that one with your boss next time you get fired and let me know if it works.
He then accuses Cosby of blacklisting him from showbiz since he didn't work for four years after the confrontation. Perhaps the Hustle and Flow pimp should reevaluate the situation. I can't imagine that one of the most successful men in sitcom history would give two squats about sabotaging the career of the then totally unknown actor. Has it ever occurred to him that acting is a tough profession and that a four year dry spell for an unknown is totally the norm?
Actors and their ridiculous egos never cease to amaze me!
