Teleos has announced the winners of the 2009 North American Most Admired Knowledge Enterprises (MAKE) study. For the first time, Apple has been recognized as the overall North American MAKE Winner.

The winners of the 2009 North American MAKE study, conducted by Teleos in association with The KNOW Network, are (alphabetically).

This year's North American MAKE winners are delivering superior financial performance.

-- Return on Revenues average 11.2% -- three times the Global Fortune 500 median.

-- Return on Assets average 9.7% -- nearly three times the Global Fortune 500 median.

The leaders in these metrics were Apple, Google and Microsoft.

A panel of North American-based Fortune 500 senior executives and internationally recognized knowledge management / intellectual capital experts selected the winners. Only organizations founded and headquartered in North America were eligible for this MAKE study. The panel rated organizations against the MAKE framework of eight key knowledge performance dimensions -- visible drivers of competitive advantage and increased value and performance.
