2008-10-01 23:18:27 - 'My little brother had to evacuate the Sabine Pass area, and he kept me real informed about the struggle along the Gulf Coast, says Paul Greenway, producer of teen live drive. 'This is definitely one way that we can also help those in need.'

www.teenlivedrive.com plans to donate 10 percent of sales in October to a relief agency to help people affected by Hurricane Ike.

The new website, www.teenlivedrive.com, allows teenagers to download video files that play on iPods, iPhones, iTunes and in QuickTime on desktops and laptops.

Parents can send teenagers for an instructional drive on REAL ROADS, On Line, without the

high cost of gas, stress. Teenagers liste to a professional driving instructor talk about the traffic and approaching situations.

'Basically we are in the safety business, says Greenway. 'This makes us feel good to offer a little help, since we can only imagine how hard it is to leave home on short notice, then wonder what condition your home will be in when you get back.'

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that car crashes are the leading cause of death among teens, nearly 6000 every year and some 300,000 injured.
NHTSA promotes a graduated driver licensing system, where young drivers satisfy staggered requirements before full driving privileges, a system that has shown a reduction in crashes.

'I know that this video instruction is the next best thing to actually driving with a parent ', says Paul Greenway, producer of the video content. 'And I think the on the road driving at teen live drive fits nicely with a graduated licensing program.'
