Paige Hurd's Sweet 16 For Children's Cancer Foundations Los Angeles, CA - July 9, 2008 -- Actress Paige Hurd (CW TV Show 'Everybody Hates Chris' and the hit film 'Beauty Shop') is having a Sweet 16 Birthday Party on Saturday July 19, 2008 in Los Angeles, California to benefit children's cancer foundations. Paige is using her party as a vehicle to raise awareness and funds by having a
raffle at her party where 100% of the profits will be donated to the children's cancer charities she has chosen. In lieu of gifts, Paige prefers everyone to purchase a $5 raffle ticket either online (
paigehurdsweet16.blogspot.com), at one of the two pre-sweet 16 events she is hosting or at the actual sweet 16 party. Sixteen (16) items will be raffled off on July 19th at the Sweet 16 party including A T-mobile Sidekick, Zune Music Players, A Cruise to the Mexican Riviera, two $1500 Croton Watches, Clothing Wardrobes and much more! A very special 'superstar' package will be raffled to include a music video or short film starring the winner, plus a professional photo shoot and PR services. Also on July 17th, there will be 16 people randomly chosen from the pool of raffle tickets to be VIP guests of Paige at her invite only party. How cool is that?
In addition to the charity raffle (which is the focus of the event) guests will enjoy passed hors d'oeuvres, live performances, a game room and sweet treats throughout the loft. The exclusive adult lounge will allow VIP guests 21 and over to enjoy pampering services, specialty hors d'oeuvres and other relaxing elements. What Inspired Paige to Do This? Paige's youngest brother Pierce (6 years old) has both Cancer and Down Syndrome (Paige is one of 5 children). Additionally, Paige was touched by Brittiana Henderson who lost her battle to cancer in 2007 at the age of 13. As a result of her personal connection to children with cancer, Paige decided that at her Sweet 16 Birthday Party she didn't want the party to be about her, but rather her contribution to the battle against children's cancer. Paige is always seeking way to participate in events, functions and with organizations that work towards helping the same cause.
