FedScoop, the leading news aggregator and marketing company for the government IT sector, will launch its events arm beginning with an executive-level event on October 14 th at the Newseum. “Lowering the Cost of Government with Technology,” will be FedScoop’s first event in a series focused on Kundra’s five pillars, and will unite industry and government thought leaders and decision makers on the most precedent issues facing the industry today.
This event is the first in a series; each addressing one of the following five pillars outlined as priorities by Federal CIO Vivek Kundra: lowering the cost of government with technology, transparency in government, security, engaging citizens, and innovation.
“Face-to-face interaction at focused, executive gatherings is the perfect vehicle for
uniting Washington’s IT decision makers. VIP panelists will discuss cyber-security, virtualization, and cloud computing as they relate to lowering the cost of government.
Speakers include C-Level and top executives from the Executive Office of the President, DOJ, GSA, NIST, DISA, DOD, Department of State, NASA, Intel, Citrix, Microsoft, HP and other leading organizations. Industry luminaries such as Craig Newmark founder of Craigslist.org will also be in attendance and giving a presentation on Networked Democracy.
