2008-04-13 07:55:00 - An aggresive batting display by India's ninth wicket helped India reach a respectable total of 325 runs,Sharma unbeaten score 19 runs and Sreesanth score aggresive 29 runs a partnership worth forty six runs frustrating the Proteas attack in the first hour of the game on the third day of third cricket test match in Kanpur a lead of 60 runs in relpy to South African score of first inning 265 runs.

Sourav Ganguly and Yuvraj Singh played some sparkling shots as they tried to steady Team India by remaining unseparated till the tea break with India at 188 runs Yuvraj was caught by de Villiers bowled Harris 77 runs behind South Africa's first innings total.Duo batted and were going for their strokes, runs came quite briskly which led to some heated verbal exchanges between Yuvraj Singh and Dale Steyn.The two umpires stepped in quickly to diffuse the situation by talking to the players and South African captain Graeme Smith.
With dearture of Yuvraj singh Dhoni captaining the Team india in place of injured Anil kumble made some delightful strokes but was caught steeping out of the crease by Boucher on the bowing of Hariis when India score waas 248 runs 17 shorts of South Africa.

Sourav patience and responsible knock proved India reach 279 runs.When stumps were drawn for the day India were 288 for nine.Sreesanth 9 and Ishant yet to open his account were at the crease.

South Africa opener were batting 25 runs without loss of wicket in their second inning.
