2013-02-06 17:32:53 - Join fellow industry professionals at SMi's Masterclass - ERA GLONASS place on 12th March 2013, Central London
Already covering approximately 40 million units of vehicles over 83 regions of the country, the Russian Government's Emergency Response System is using GLONASS technology to provide rapid assistance to motorists in the event of a collision, without the need of deploying traffic police officers. This will lead to the arrival time of first responders to accident sites being cut by up to 30%. Furthermore, by 2015 all new approved M1 passenger and N1 commercial vehicles must be equipped with this technology with other vehicles types incorporating it by the fourth quarter of 2014.
Under the guidance of Marcel Visser, Cinterion and Jonathan Newell, Traffic Safe, SMi Group’s ERA GLONASS masterclass will provide an overview of the project, discussing key issues and
business opportunities, as well the technology behind the operation and the barriers for development.
Key Reasons to Attend:
• Get up to speed with the current developments of the ERA GLOANSS project.
• Gain a good understanding of the technology involved, the opportunities available initially starting with emergency call services and the legislation time frame expected
• Hear from 2 key industry experts
