2008-05-18 11:20:49 - Take That are cutting short their planned break to start work on their new album.

Take That are set to start work on their new album. The band have cut short a planned extended break to head into the studio to record the follow-up to 2006's hit comeback LP 'Beautiful World'.

The group made the decision to return to work after just three months out of the spotlight. A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "They've had the relevant meetings with the record company about a new album and both parties are in agreement about it. "They're going to be back a lot quicker than they'd originally planned." The quartet - Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Jason Orange and Howard Donald - revealed after their double win at this year's BRIT Awards that they were planning to take some time off with their families after completing their hugely successful comeback world tour. Meanwhile, it has been revealed that Take That's 'Beautiful World' DVD has become the fastest-selling music DVD of all time, shifting 64,000 copies in its first week of release.
