2008-09-12 12:14:14 - Avant-garde technology and original shapes for Triade, Bormioli Rocco's line of glass plates that bring a new elegance to laying tables.

With their unmistakable white tones and their geometric shapes the items in the Triade collection are masterpieces of research into materials, manufacturing processes and design options.

In the manufacture of these plates and table accessories, Bormioli Rocco uses opalescent glass, 'the glass that doesn't seem like glass'.
The components employed - silica oxide, sodium, potassium, calcium, alumina and fluorine - bring a

characteristically brilliant white to these plates, while the tempering procedure increases their resistance to knocks and abrupt temperature changes. And opalescent glass plates last longer than normal glass plates.

The chemical composition of opalescent glass makes for glass plates with a totally non-porous surface, making them considerably more hygienic to use.
Frequent exposure to dishwashing machines or microwave ovens fails to spoil the shine and colours of the Triade collection.

Bormioli Rocco's cutting-edge manufacturing techniques bring a new philosophy to table presentation that combines practicality with beauty. Light, functional and easily to handle, this glass cookware is ideal both for everyday use and for formal occasions, thanks to the elegant simplicity of its lines. Here Bormioli Rocco's designers play with the theme of the triangle, taking an over-familiar geometric figure and creatively reinventing it. The corners become softer, the shapes acquire more depth: the triangle turns into glass plates, glasses and cutlery with gently geometric lines.
With Triade Bormioli Rocco redesigns the dimensions of tableware stylishness.
