Synfora Appoints VP of Worldwide Marketing

Synfora, Inc., the premier provider of high level synthesis tools for integrated circuit and system designers of large, complex processing applications, has hired Andrew Haines, a semiconductor and EDA (electronic design automation) marketing executive with more than 30 years experience, as vice president of worldwide marketing. Mr. Haines will lead Synfora’s marketing efforts as the company continues to expand the

technology leadership position of the company’s PICO : High Level Synthesis platform.

Mr Haines’s previous experience includes all aspects of product and corporate marketing, positioning companies for IPO, marketing communications and OEM license negotiations. Immediately prior to joining Synfora, he was vice president of marketing at Synopsys, Inc.

and senior vice president of marketing at Synplicity, Inc. Mr. Haines joined Synplicity in 1996, directing the marketing activities from initial market entry through the successful IPO and then leading the marketing effort for Synplicity as a public company. Earlier positions include director of marketing, Actel Corporation; ASIC strategic marketing manager, VLSI Technology, Inc.; and major accounts marketing manager, Intel Corporation. He holds a B.S. in Physics from the University of Wisconsin.
