The sidelined superhero gets his chance to prove his mantle once again when a mysterious communication summons him to a remote
island for a top-secret assignment. But in a sudden twist of events, the entire fate of the world is left hanging in balance, and the family must come together and save the world together
When Academy Award-winning American director Brad Bird began writing the story of ‘The Incredibles’, he realized that two very different ideas were coming together as one: he was writing the wildly imaginative spy adventure he’d always wanted to see; but, he was also writing a drama about family ties and how the greatest super power may simply be the power of a family. “At its heart, I saw The Incredibles as a story about a family learning to balance their individual lives with love for one another,” says Bird. “But it’s also a comedy about superheroes discovering their more ordinary human side. I wanted to create a world filled with spy movie gadgets, comic book super powers and outrageous evil villains but at the same time create another story within that world that is about family”
In the Hindi version, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and his son Aryan Khan form an enjoyable pair as Mr Incredible and Dash, along with funny man Javed Jaffrey who has voiced the evil Syndrome. Together they create a fun entertainer that can be enjoyed by the whole family.
The film won the Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature as well as Best Sound Editing at the 77th Academy Awards. The film also received the 2004 Annie Award for Best Animated Feature and the 2005 Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation, Long Form along with the the Saturn Award for Best Animated Film.
