Sunstone Hotel Investors Schedules Third Quarter 2012 Earnings Release and
Conference Call

Aliso Viejo, Calif. (October 9, 2012) - Sunstone Hotel Investors (NYSE: SHO)
announced today that it will report financial results for the third quarter
2012 on Thursday, November 1, 2012 after the market closes. Management will hold
its quarterly conference call on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. EDT
(9:00 a.m. PDT).
