TiE Pune announced partnering with Sunstone Business School, the
leading specialized Management School, today the launch of its new open
online course on entrepreneurship, aptly titled, .- ¬Å“Turning ideas into
action¬. Sunstone has recently launched free open online courses to
enable professionals receive the finest and continuous education in
India across all management disciplines. TiE and Sunstone have a common
aim to strengthen the entrepreneurship ecosystem and open courses are a
significant step in this direction.

¬Å“Many working professionals think about entrepreneurship but they do
not have the right tools and resources to help them take the next step.
The solution lies in entrepreneurship focused online courses. Such
courses have been effective globally to help ¬Ëœwannapreneurs and various
institutes such

as Stanford are offering them through online. Sunstone
open course platform has been highly effective for learning and can go a
long way to provide basic entrepreneurial skills to motivated
wannapreneurs" said Mr. Vishwas Mahajan, President, TiE Pune.

Sunstone started delivering its open courses since December 2012 and
did a soft launch with a 3 week course on Negotiations. More than 1,000
students have applied so far for the course from all across India as
well as internationally. ¬Å“Turning ideas into action¬ will be launch
first in January, 2013 and is already seeing a huge interest in
enrollment. It will be a 2 week course and would require ~25 Hours of
work from registered students.
¬Å“Sunstone open courses got an overwhelming response primarily due to
its problem based learning approach unlike others that rely on the
traditional lecture-centric approach. We received many requests to start
open courses focusing entrepreneurship as resources available for
wannapreneurs are still very limited. TiE has done a great job in
developing entrepreneurship ecosystem in different local regions like
Pune and this course will further strengthen it. The focus of this newly
designed course is provide structured learning with a prominent focus on
¬Å“do it yourself¬ and peer-to-peer exchanges. Sunstone is already in the
process of designing advance level entrepreneurship courses, which will
