WILKES-BARRE, PA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/28/09 -- Sundance Vacations : www.sundancevacations.com/ provided $1300 to the SPCA of Luzerne County in honor of Make a Difference Day.



Normally it is not a good idea to scare consumers; however, Sundance Vacations employees held a Haunted House "Sundance at Sundown" : blog.sundancevacations.com/ at the company's corporate headquarters on October 22nd, October 23rd, and on the annual Make a Difference Day, October 24th. Make a Difference Day is the most encompassing national day of helping others -- a celebration of neighbors helping neighbors. It is an annual event sponsored by USA Weekend magazine.



The entry fee was $5. Sundance Vacations also provided baked goods to all guests in efforts to raise more money. All proceeds raised were donated to the Luzerne County SPCA (Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).
"Consumers who don't know Sundance Vacations may be skeptical or even misguided by thinking that Sundance Vacations is a scam," said Sundance Vacations Founder Tina Dowd. According to the Executive Director of the SPCA of Luzerne County, Vince Sweeney, the SPCA does not receive any state or government funds. All operating funds come from the generosity of the community.
