The Global Emergency Services program - available through Assist America - connects customers to doctors, hospitals, pharmacies and other services
in the event of a medical emergency while traveling.

Assist America provides emergency medical and personal assistance to Sun Life Financial Masters Variable Annuity contract owners who are traveling 100 miles or more away from home. This protection extends to eligible participants, spouses and their dependent minor children when traveling together or separately. Among the benefits of the program are connection to Western-trained, English-speaking physicians, critical care monitoring, legal and interpreter referrals, prescription assistance, emergency evacuation to the nearest capable care facility and foreign hospital admission assistance.
Certain restrictions apply, and this program may be not be available in all states. Sun Life also provides these services through Assist America to its group insurance and life insurance policyholders.
