2007-01-26 09:28:55 - StockInterview's Senior Editor James Finch reviews the smaller uranium companies against the backdrop of Cameco's Cigar Lake flooding. Some of the new uranium producers and near-term producers have doubled since Cameco's woes began.

January 26, 2007 (PR-Inside) Sarasota, FL -

StockInterview's Senior Editor James Finch compared recent price gains of several recent uranium mining companies, which have begun production, and those which are promising near-term uranium mining. Finch wrote, ''The biggest beneficiaries have been the junior producers or very near-term producers, such as Paladin Resources, Ur-Asia, Denison, Uranium Resources, Energy Metals

and SXR Uranium One.'' He explained, ''Share prices since October 23rd have doubled or nearly doubled. Stocks which double within a three-month time frame reap their initial investors handsome rewards.''

Finch wrote, ''The financial markets have rewarded the producers and those approaching production over the next three to four years.'' And he added, ''One concern voiced by investors and uranium miners we've talked to is the movement to the safer, low-grade uranium plays. Cigar Lake has a big payoff, but has a very high technical risk.''

While Cigar Lake, Finch writes, is the grand-slam home run of uranium mining, he warns of the high technical risk often accompanying the mining of high-grade uranium. He referred to a recent interview with SXR Uranium One Chief Executive Neal Froneman who pointed out the low technical risk nature of his company's Dominion uranium mine in South Africa.

Finch pointed out the recent excitement in uranium mining companies has focused, since Cigar Lake, on those companies which are closer to near-term uranium production. He pointed out, ''Africa has emerged as a hotbed of exploration and development,'' mainly because of Paladin Resources' recent startup of the Langer Heinrich uranium mine in Namibia and the upcoming debut of SXR Uranium One in South Africa. Finch also pointed out the state of Wyoming ''remains a favorite area, although it offers low-grade uranium deposits.'' The surprise for 2007 wrote Finch could be increased uranium mining development activities in New Mexico.
