Rocker STING has been invited to perform his "lute renaissance" music for British monarch QUEEN ELIZABETH II.
The former POLICE frontman recently released his SONGS FROM THE LABYRINTH album, inspired by the work of 16th century composer JOHN DOWLAND.
And Queen Elizabeth is keen to hear Sting's new direction for herself at Buckingham Palace in London.
Sting's wife TRUDIE STYLER says, "With Sting, himself a troubadour, it means that the banished troubadour of the 16th century finally returns to court."
