Stevie Award Winners to Be Announced in New York on November 14
Gail Cayetano and Stephanie Hansen, both managing partners of Starfish Creative Events, Inc were named Finalists in the 'Best Young Entrepreneur' category in The 5th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business.
The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives, entrepreneurs, and the companies they run - worldwide. The Stevie Awards have been hailed as the world's premier business awards.
Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word 'crowned,' winners will be announced during a gala event at the Marriott Marquis hotel in New York on Friday, November 14. Nominated women executives and entrepreneurs from the U.S. and several other countries are expected to attend.
More than 1,200 entries were submitted for consideration in 50 categories, including Best Executive, Best Entrepreneur,
and Best Community Involvement Program. Gail Cayetano and Stephanie Hansen, founders and managing partners of Starfish Creative Events, Inc., are both finalists in the 'Best Young Entrepreneur' category.
Cayetano, 26, and Hansen, 25, formed Starfish Creative Events (SCE), an event management agency catering to corporate and entertainment clients who are looking to brand their products through events, in 2006. Over the past year, they have collectively increased the company's revenue over 3000%, with the company's end of year sales forecast totaling over half a million dollars.
Current clients include Virgin Charter, Deep Silver Video Game Publishing, Coin-Op TV, Konami Digital Entertainment, David Hasselhoff and University of California Irvine Medical Center. Further, the duo has recruited a stellar Board of Advisors to help take the company to the next level, including Joe DiLeonardo, VP of Marketing of Ferrara Pan Candy Co. and Brian Pope, Chief Operating Officer of Virgin Charter, among others.
Finalists were chosen by business professionals worldwide during preliminary judging.
Members of the Awards' Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and their staffs will select Stevie Award winners from among the Finalists during final judging.
