Santa Ana, CA – Mercy House Announces Plans to Host 21st Annual Golf Tournament September 26th, 2013 at Coyote Hills Golf Course.
For the past 21 years Mercy House has invited their donors, community members and staff to come together for a day on the greens to support the Mercy House mission “to be a leader in ending the homelessness for those who enter its system of care”. The golf tournament is their secondary fundraiser and dollars raised are put into programs, shelters and services benefitting the homeless populations of Orange County and San Bernardino County.
For the third year running the tournament will be held at Coyote Hills Golf Course
in Fullerton, designed by Cal Olsen and PGA Tour legend, Payne Stewart. The festivities will begin at 10:00 AM with registration and putting contests. Golfers will enjoy lunch served by the Carl’s Jr. Star Lunch Truck before the Shotgun start Tee Off at 12:30 pm. Throughout the course golfers will find different contests and will be given additional opportunities to go home with a prize thanks to the raffle and opportunity drawing at the after party. This year’s opportunity drawing prize is an Apple iPad with Retina Display (16 GB, Wi-Fi Ready, Retail Value $499). Friends and family of those playing are invited to join in the fun where dinner will be served and prizes will be awarded.
Mercy house has netted close to $50,000 at their Annual Golf tournament in previous years which has helped to support their programs and facilities throughout the year. “For as many years as we have been doing it, the Golf Tournament has continued to have a great turnout and has been a fun day for all who participate”, said Mercy House Executive Director Larry Haynes. It is not often that you get the opportunity for your golf game to change a life, if you or someone you know is interested in registering as an individual or part of a foursome, visit www.mercyhouse.net. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
