Qatar- based Spanish International Trade & Business Centre (SITBC), one of the pioneers in trade and business arena is a privately owned business institution, which has been formed to provide comprehensive services to all Spanish Companies who wish to expand their markets and introduce and commercialize their products in the Gulf Cooperation Council’s (GCC) countries and the entire Middle East. DOHA (April 04, 2009): A high level delegation of 20 renowned Spanish companies comprising furniture and other sectors were in Doha recently to sign business contracts with the Qatar- based Spanish International Trading & Business Centre (SITBC).
The visitors were mainly owners or top management executives of some prominent business houses of the Spain.
The representatives of Spanish companies got an
update on Qatar economy, projects and business opportunities here and in Middle East.
The represented companies deal in various kinds of furniture business including sofas, bed bases, bed sofas, mattresses, glass door system, solid pine wood furniture, among others.
The delegation included Mr. Manolo Morejon, Mr. Ignacio Rebollo, Mr. Juan Aliaga, Mr. Luis Torres, Mr. Jose, Mr. Salvador Moron, Mr. Jose Javier Ruiz, Mr, Francisco Oña, Mr. Jose Manuel Cabrerizo among others,
The visiting representatives were from the companies such as GRUPO SOMISUR-GREMOCAR, MOVIREB, LA NUIT, PURA MADERA, MUEBLES ESCALU, LA MANSION, MUEBLES MAGINA, COCINTER, Iman COCINTER among others.
Apart from its Headquarters in Doha (Qatar), the SITBC is also present in Spain through its branches in Madrid, Almeria and Cadiz in order to provide business consultancy services to all Spanish companies who wish to become members of the Business Centre.
The visiting representatives discussed wide range of business interests with some local entrepreneurs. These representatives were delighted to see the services being provided by SITBC.
Being known as one of the most innovative business organization in the region, SITBC focuses on creating value, improving performance, giving time- bound qualitative services and maximizing profitability for its member companies.
The delegation visited a number of places and private companies, furniture show rooms to know the business environment of the country. They applauded the business- friendly policies of the government and spoke high about the visions of the Emir His Highness Hamad Bin Khalifa Al- Thani.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Mr. Manolo Morejon, Managing Director of a group of companies said the business consultancy and services of SITBC will play a positive role in attracting Spanish companies in Qatar.
He said his companies have already entered into agreements with SITBC and a lot much alliance with SITBC will be made a reality with the passage of time.
Praising the infrastructural set up of SITBC, Mr. Ignacio Rebollo the owner of a group of companies said that SITBC will facilitate our operational and organisational needs and pave the way of new emerging business opportunities not only in Qatar but in the entire Middle East.
After signing an agreement with SITBC, Mr. Juan Aliaga said his company will explore its business activities in the booming market of Qatar.
Mr, Francisco Oña said that whole world is affected with Global financial problem but Qatar seems to be least affected as compared to the European market.
The Qatar’s economic growth and investors’ friendly policies among others are the major assets for the country’s excellent performance, he commented.
Announcing the modus- operandi of the SITBC, Dr. Naseer, SITBC’s CEO & Managing Director said we will target the Spanish real estate market and start our projects very soon.
“SITBC plans to enhance the business activities of its members into new regional and international growth markets. SITBC has gained huge experience in the investment field, especially in markets that deliver a high return on investment. This partnership will enable both parties to expand their business horizons across the world by working together on a number of projects”, Dr. Naseer Shahir Homoud said.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Luis Torres hoped his companies association with the SITBC will set up new milestones in the Spanish furniture market. He said there were many opportunities to be explored in this sector.
