Tien Son Custom Tailored Suits has just launched its Kickstarter project to fund its TS Virtual Tailor™ application.
Today marks the beginning of custom suit maker Tien Son's Kickstarter campaign.
The goal of the campaign is to raise $20 thousand to optimize and expand its TS Virtual Tailor™ application, which allows customers to preview their selection of fabric, buttons, and various other features of their customized suit on a 3D model before purchase. The funds will also be used to manufacture fabric for Tien Son’s upcoming Spring Collection, and cover the cost of various promotional materials.
"Kickstarter is the most well-known crowd funding website and the best," said part-owner Cody Land. "We wanted to use crowd funding because the [Virtual Tailor] has always been a community project, and we thought it was only right to raise funds from
the community to make it successful. With users able to upload their own photos of themselves to the VT, it truly is a community page."
The rewards for contributing to the campaign range from a handmade bow tie or scarf to a set of custom-tailored three-piece suits, dress shirts, ties, scarves and socks.
"The rewards offered are by far the greatest incentive to invest," said Land. "We are offering a discounted price for our products as a thank you."
Tien Son has been a family business since 1891, and opened shop for the first time in Evansville, Indiana in March of last year. It is largely web-based, with the option to make personal appointments with part-owner and eighth generation tailor Lan Do for fitting and consultation.
“Besides the generous reward, I think supporting local and family business to create the most fascinating way to purchase clothing, which fits everyone perfectly, is the greatest incentive,” said Do. “Who does not want to say that they helped to build that amazing business idea to success?”
