www.slaytonsearchpartners.com - Slayton Search Partners has recruited John Thornton as Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing and Leslie Bostic as Senior Vice President, Human Resources to Amalgamated Life Insurance Company - a provider of group life and disability insurance, third-party administration services, medical management, and computer services.

Previously, Mr. Thornton served as Vice President of Sales at CIGNA Healthcare

where he had responsibility for CIGNA's sales operations for Northern New England. Before Amalgamated, Ms. Bostic worked with Schering-Plough Corporation where she was the Senior Manager of Global Human Resources. She had previously been Senior Vice President of Human Resources at SBLI.

In their roles at Amalgamated, both Mr. Thornton and Ms. Bostic will be members of the senior management team reporting directly to CEO, David Walsh, whom Slayton also recruited earlier this year.

The searches were executed by Robert R. Stone and James R. Johnston, co-heads of Slayton's Insurance Practice and based in the Firm's New York office. Messrs. Stone and Johnston bring a wealth of experience in the fields of Insurance and Asset Management to bear on senior level executive assignments.
