Skyline Construction ( www.skylineconst.com :
) has been recognized nationally as an exceptional employer whose workplace environment fosters teamwork, flexibility and professional growth while delivering award-winning results.
On 9/28/09, The Wall Street Journal and Winning Workplaces selected Skyline Construction as one of the 15 Top Small Workplaces in America :
out of nearly 630 nominations
from the public, private and nonprofit sectors. The list is compiled in a partnership between The Wall Street Journal and Winning Workplaces, a nonprofit that helps small and midsize organizations create better workplaces.
"We became a 100% employee-owned company in 2005 to foster an ownership culture,” said Skyline Construction CEO and President David Hayes. “This prestigious award demonstrates that Skyline’s first priority is its employees and that our team remains as cohesive as ever despite the economic recession.”
A month later, Skyline Construction won the CICA Award :

(Commercial Interiors Contractors Awards) for the best LEED Interiors Project of the Year for its work on the Google offices in San Francisco. CICA recognizes excellence and achievement in the commercial contracting industry in the San Francisco Bay Area, and Skyline was instrumental in helping Google obtain Gold Certification for one of the largest commercial LEED projects in the Bay Area.
“LEED has become a hot conversation button,” acknowledges Hayes, “but few corporations are as committed as we are to embracing all the requirements behind certification. We not only build green, but we also function as a sustainable company ourselves.”
In reference to the two awards, Hayes adds: “Skyline Construction has always focused on the well-being and personal and professional development of its people while tackling tough client projects and delivering stellar results. We are honored to be recognized for our efforts by such prestigious organizations.”
