2009-12-21 06:14:21 - Eyes are one’s most evocative facial feature. A woman’s eyes are her best beauty asset and they convey moods and emotions in an instant. The easiest and the most dramatic way to boost your looks is to make your eyes look beautiful. Too much strain on your eyes or sickness takes away some of the attractiveness and brilliance of your eyes. So why don’t we look forward for the “New Year With Beautiful Eyes”. We all have beautiful eyes and we all can make them look more beautiful with the help of some tips and accessories ensuring they will stay healthy and sharp well for the New Year.

Eat Well. Our eyes are constantly being damaged by external factors such as dirt, dust, and sunlight. This is perfectly natural, and our eyes are actually well designed to be able to repair and heal themselves. The most common type of damage is from antioxidants, and our eyes require Vitamin A to repair this damage. Make sure you get plenty of Vitamin A-rich foods such as green vegetables and carrots, so that your eyes can heal themselves easily.
Soothe Them. Treat your eyes to a soothing treatment session. A great treatment is to place slices of cool cucumber or potatoes over your eyes. This will help to reduce puffiness, and improve the appearance of wrinkles and bags around your eyes.

You can even combine this treatment with a face mask for a complete beauty session!
Cucumbers help to alleviate stress and tone your eyes. Lie down for about 20 minutes with slices of cucumbers on your eyes and you'll notice the difference. As an alternative to cucumbers, you can place damp tea bags as well. If caffeinated, they are even better. Get two tea bags, dampen them and cool them in the refrigerator overnight. Place them in the morning for 10 minutes. You'll notice the difference.
Creams with retinol and Vitamin E help to alleviate discoloration and puffiness. It also helps to remove wrinkles.
Relax Them. In this digital age, it is common for people to spend much of their day staring at a computer screen. This can put undue strain on our eyes, causing them to feel tired and dry. Therefore it is essential that you take some time each day to get away from your screen. Try to take a break of a few minutes every hour while working. Too much strain on your eyes or sickness takes away some of the attractiveness and brilliance of your eyes.
Highlight Them: The best known product that helps you highlight the beauty of your eyes is the so called make-up. With a little mascara and some false eyelashes you can perfectly emphasize the splendor of your eyes. A word of caution is appropriate however. “Makeup is a part of many women's everyday routine, but they should be aware that improperly applied makeup is a risk to the eye. The American Academy of Ophthalmology recommends that consumers apply make-up very carefully to avoid damage to the eyes. Make sure that no excessive product enters the eyes, and you use products which have been tested properly" says Dr.Ruapl Shah, an eminent eye surgeon and clinical director of the LaseRx Institute of Laser Medicine in Juhu.
Even though your eyes are tired you do not have to panic. Try some new relaxation techniques which will help your eyes regain the glamor they once had. Try to sleep as much as you can – sleeping is the best medicine your eyes can ever get. Another way to keep your eyes beautiful is to have cosmetic eye surgery. This includes LASIK surgery to get rid of your dependence on glasses or contact lenses to see clearly.
Avoid salty foods. Salty foods accumulate water. Drink lots of water. People who don't drink enough fluids get bags under their eyes & surely you don’t want to attend a party with bag eyes. Exercise helps improve circulation around your body, and it will help reduce the puffiness under your eyes.

Eye food-In addition to carrots being good for the eyes, which is pretty well known, there are other foods that also aid in improving eye health. These foods contain compounds called lutein and zeaxanthin, which aid in cell damage prevention. Among some of the foods are: broccoli, squash, peas, mango, prunes and other richly colored fruits and vegetables. So gulp in these foods till the new year.
Get rid of crow’s feet before the new ear. Wrinkles on the sides of the eyes are sometimes called crow’s feet. This can be caused by squinting, sunlights and aging. Use sunglasses, avoid smoking & eat lots of leafy veggies. You can also get rid of wrinkles around the eyes by laser resurfacing or fractional laser treatment.
So create perfect, beautiful looking eyes & get rocking.
