SIM Senegal 2010 (Senegal International Mining Conference & Exhibition) will take place in Dakar, Senegal from 12 – 15 April 2010. The event will be organised by the Ministère des Mines, de l’Industrie, de la Transformation alimentaire des produits agricoles et des PME, Republic of Senegal in collaboration with the British company AME Trade Limited. This event will form a golden backdrop to the festivities of the 50th Independence Anniversary of the Republic of Senegal which is celebrated on the 4th April 2010; half a century after Senegal declared its independence from France.
The event will feature three days of plenary sessions, technical workshops, exhibitions as well as visits to key Senegalese mining and touristic sites. It will gather international investors,
mining experts, directors of financial institutions, Senegalese decision makers, development partners and donors, as well as other key actors and partners in the mining industry. SIM Senegal 2010 will act as a platform to exchange experiences, debate and establish business partnerships and cooperation, which will lead to conclusions and recommendations for an improved development of the country’s sub-soil riches and their sustainable development.
