German sheep are wearing Wellington boots to prevent them from contracting infections.
Wilhelm Fennen, from Lower Saxony, originally made the PVC shoes for dogs and now a Hamburg farmer has asked him to design some special footwear for his flock.
Fennen said: "The shoes are not meant for fashion but for protection, particularly when a pet has cut or hurt its paws.
"The request for sheep shoes came from a farmer who wanted to protect his animals from an infection that has been going around." Fennen also makes footwear for police dogs.
