2013-02-06 10:14:51 - SGS has been contracted to provide certification services for the Phu My I - My Xuan Industrial Gas Supplying Pipeline System Project by PetroVietnam Gas Investment and Construction JSC (PVID).

PetroVietnam Gas Investment and Construction JSC (PVID) have awarded SGS a contract to conduct certification services for its Phu My I - My Xuan Industrial Gas Supplying Pipeline System Project. The My Xuan and Phu My I Industrial Parks are located in Vung Tau Province, Vietnam’s largest gas and oil center. The projects encompass the six kilometer long construction of a H2 2.5 inch gas pipeline and a 10 inch N2 pipeline from the Vietnam Japan Gas Plant at Phu My Industrial Park to Chinese steel mills operating at the My Xuan Industrial Park.

SGS services are to commence in February 2013 and are scheduled to be completed within five months.

The SGS / PVID Partnership

SGS has been chosen by

PVID to provide expert certification services due to the proven SGS level of competence and extensive experience in previous PVID projects and in similar projects around the globe.

SGS expert inspectors will once again assist PVID in increasing asset value and delivering quality services and products by conducting design reviews, checking quantities and visual conditions of materials and equipment on site, inspecting on-site construction and installation processes and witnessing hydraulic tests as ITP. Furthermore, SGS will regularly report its findings and recommendations, submit a final report and issue the required certificates.

SGS Certification Services

SGS on-site certification services will include a Certificate of Design Conformity (granted for a safe, quality design), a Mechanical Completion Certificate (recognizing the inspection and testing of equipment and construction to confirm installation is in accordance with project drawings and specifications and ready for safe commissioning in compliance with project requirements) and a Certificate of Quality Compliance (ensuring all relevant regulatory standards have been met).
