The questions will create conversations that help young people properly understand consent, think about different types of exploitation, abuse and violence and discuss gender inequalities and homophobia.
The cards have been written by Georgia Johnston, Juliet Agyemang and Elaine Barker from Brook's Education Team, who between them, have worked with and been inspired by many 1,000s of young people.
Simon Blake, CEO of Brook, said: “Thankfully there is a growing awareness about the prevalence of sexual violence and exploitation amongst young people. The only way to protect young people is to ensure we have important conversations so they know about it, understand that violence and exploitation is never acceptable; are able to give or refuse consent, and to ask for help
and advice when they need it. These cards are an excellent tool for teachers and health professionals to encourage conversations about difficult issues.”
Sexual Violence and Exploitation contain 48 compelling questions and is published by Fink Cards, priced at £14.99 and can be ordered from Fink Cards or Brook
Both sets of conversation cards Sex & Relationships Matter and Sexual Violence and Exploitation can be bought jointly at the discounted price of £26.99.
