South African rockers SEETHER have pulled the plug on a three-week tour with STAIND and THREE DAYS GRACE to allow singer SHAUN MORGAN to seek counselling for substance abuse.
The frontman, who is dating EVANESCENCE star AMY LEE, has entered an undisclosed rehabilitation centre in a bid to treat his dependency on unidentified substances, according to Billboard.com.
In a statement, the band's spokeswoman says, "Shaun admitted to himself and those close to him that he needs help and is making the proactive move to seek it." Morgan adds, "I need help with addictions that I can't kick on my own. These things are making me sick, and could potentially harm me permanently, so I need to take care of them as soon as possible." The group will honour a commitment to perform at a rock festival in Oregon this weekend (29JUL06) before cancelling all live appearances in August (06).
It is not known if Morgan's troubles will effect the group's plans to tour Britain in October (06).
