- AIR Worldwide Corporation (AIR) today announced that Secquaero Advisors Ltd., an investment specialist with a focus on insurance risk management and intermediation, has licensed CATRADER(R), the industry standard application for analyzing catastrophe reinsurance and insurance-linked securities. Secquaero will use CATRADER to better assess and manage the risks associated with a portfolio of catastrophe bond investments held by the Secquaero

ILS Fund Ltd.

"We selected AIR's CATRADER because it is the leading catastrophe modeling application supporting ILS on the market and supports a wide range of scientifically-based models," said Dirk Lohmann, Managing Partner at Secquaero. "CATRADER will be incorporated into our overall risk management framework and help us in assessing the impact of individual catastrophe-related financial investments, as well as optimize the risk / return profile of the managed portfolio."

As the catastrophe bond industry has grown, so has the need for sophisticated analysis tools. With CATRADER, investors can easily manage a portfolio of catastrophe bonds, Industry Loss Warranties (ILWs) and reinsurance contracts using a single analysis tool. CATRADER can be used to evaluate catastrophe bonds and other catastrophe-related instruments with a range of trigger types, including indemnity, index and notional portfolio-based triggers.

"Secquaero's management has a track record of innovation in the field of securitizing insurance risk," said Yorn Tatge, Managing Director of AIR Worldwide GmbH in Munich, Germany. "As the solution of choice for hedge funds and other financial institutions seeking exposure to insurance-linked-risk assets within their portfolio, CATRADER will help Secquaero to make better informed investment decisions on behalf of their clients."

AIR is the leading provider of catastrophe risk modeling and analytical services for insurance-linked securities. Since modeling the first large-scale catastrophe bond in 1997, AIR has participated in many of the insurance industry's landmark securitization transactions. In 2007, AIR provided modeling support for more than 3 billion dollars in insurance-linked securities.
