2009-09-18 17:41:45 - Toronto, September 3, 2009 – Courtyard Group is pleased to announce the appointment of veteran healthcare professional Stacey Empson to the role of Partner for our U.S. operation. Based in Chicago, Stacey will lead our consulting team of 35 to serve clients from our New York and Chicago locations.

Ms. Empson has worked exclusively in the healthcare provider industry for 20 years, most recently as the founder and CEO of Epiphany Healthcare Advisors, a business consulting firm. Previously, she was a partner in IBM Global Business Services and was part of the executive team that drove IBM’s healthcare services strategy, operations and delivery. Ms. Empson came to IBM through the acquisition of Healthlink Incorporated, where she was an executive vice president, and also previously served as vice president for Child Health Corporation of America.

Ms. Empson has extensive management experience and has expertise in strategic and business planning, executive and physician facilitation, and contract negotiation.

She has a Juris Doctorate from the University of Kansas School of Law and a Masters

in Healthcare Administration from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. She is a HIMSS Fellow and an ACHE Diplomate/Certified Healthcare Executive. Ms. Empson is, or has been, active on the Boards of Directors of several foundations and she has been accepted into the Women Business Leaders of the U.S. Health Care Industry Foundation.
