Scottrade, a leading branch-supported online investment firm, has promoted Craig Ransom to Director of Corporate Communication and Wende Rhodes to Director of Branch Administration.

Scottrade is an online investment firm that provides the tools and research necessary for individuals to make their own investment decisions. Though the firm does not offer advice, it provides more than 400 branch offices nationwide to

directly serve customers.

As Director of Corporate Communication, Ransom oversees a team of associates who executes Scottrade’s internal and external communication planning, policies and procedures.

“I’m proud to go into a job every morning where the people are a joy to work with and the leadership promotes doing the right thing,” Ransom said. “As I begin my new role, I’m eager to enhance the communication between our headquarters and the more than 400 branch offices across the country.”


Ransom has more than 10 years of experience at Scottrade serving in a variety of roles, working up from a broker in the national service center to branch manager of the West St. Louis County branch office.

Most recently, he was the assistant director of corporate communication.

He has a degree in finance from Missouri State University and is Series 4, 7, 24 and 63 licensed.

As Director of Branch Administration, Rhodes manages a branch administration department of 20 associates and is responsible for the supervision, guidance and quality assurance of the more than 400 nationwide branch offices.

“As the branch network continues to grow, I look forward to strengthening the branch administration team so that we are prepared to take on exciting new challenges in our future,” Rhodes said. “It’s rewarding to work with such a great group of people in an effort to effectively and efficiently support our large branch network.”


Since Rhodes joined Scottrade, she has been a broker, branch manager, branch administration manager and most recently, assistant director of branch administration. In addition to more than 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, she has undergraduate degrees in English, history and accounting, a master’s degree in library science, and is Series 4, 7, 24 and 63 licensed.
