2014-08-14 23:37:06 - Numerous scientific studies have demonstrated that taping is just as effective as other methods such as silicone scar gels and sheeting for optimum wound healing and scar control. “My ScaRx®Tape is simple and effective. I have found that these other products are difficult and messy for my patients to use and so become ineffective because of non-compliance,” said Dr. Domanskis, a plastic surgeon.

ScaRx®Tape, a clinically tested aid in wound healing has been introduced by Dr. Edward Domanskis, a plastic surgeon.

“I have been using paper tape for my patients to help support the wound after injury and surgery and minimize scars for over twenty-five years,” said Dr. Domanskis, whose cosmetic plastic surgery practice is international.

Numerous scientific studies have demonstrated that taping is just as effective as other methods such as silicone scar gels and sheeting for optimum wound healing and scar control. “My ScaRx®Tape is simple and effective. I have found that these other products are difficult and messy for my patients to use and so become ineffective because of non-compliance,” continued Dr. Domanskis.

ScaRx®Tape is hypoallergenic and

made with non-toxic adhesive. It is latex free and breathable, maintaining skin integrity. ScaRx®Tape has been shown to last about a week even with bathing. Instructions recommend that patients use ScaRx®Tape continuously for several months to help achieve the best scars possible.

According to The Mattson Jack Group, an independent research group, the US commercial market for reduction of scarring in the skin is valued at approximately US$4 billion a year. “I have intentionally kept the price of my ScaRx®Tape low compared to other wound therapies in order to make it more affordable and available. I know first-hand how bad scars affect people not only cosmetically, but psychologically,” finished Dr.Domanskis.

ScaRx®Tape is available online at www.ScaRxTape.com.
