WATERTOWN, MA -- (Marketwire) -- 08/27/10 -- Sanbolic announced today that it has joined the Intel® Enabled Solutions Accelerated Alliance (Intel® ESAA) and will be presenting pre-validated configurations for using Sanbolic software with Intel® servers to provide highly scalable and highly available virtual and cloud computing storage solutions using industry-standard SAN storage hardware.



Sanbolic Melio 2010™ provides a unified storage platform for Microsoft® Hyper-V™, physical servers, and virtual machines running Microsoft Windows® applications. Customers can assign and manage shared storage resources in a cloud storage environment on demand, including metering storage performance based on the service level purchased by the end customer. Because Sanbolic allows virtual machines to share access to data on SAN storage, cloud services can scale dynamically across multiple virtual machines to respond rapidly to changes in customer workload. Melio 2010 supports Hyper-V live migration and can be used with Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager and Windows deployment services when provisioning new servers.





As a member of Intel ESAA, which gives resellers and direct OEMs access to a wide range of pre-validated configuration guides for Intel®-based Server, Workstation, and Desktop products, Sanbolic will be offering a variety of storage solutions for Hyper-V, VMware® vSphere™, and Citrix® XenServer™ virtual data centers running Microsoft Windows® server workloads.
