The Relevant Stage Theatre Company at San Pedro's Warner Grand Theatre is partnering with the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs, and offering a new performing arts program for South Bay teens called: TRS YOUTHORIZONS. The Relevant Stage at San Pedro's Warner Grand Theatre is pleased to offer limited enrollment in its educational summer camp for teens: TRS YOUTHORIZONS.
TRS YOUTHORIZONS offers a four-week intensive program focused on the art of musical theatre. Beginners as well as more experienced students will find challenges and enjoyment by sharpening their natural talents through acting, improvisation, singing, and
dance. Students gain skills through lessons and exercises, while rehearsing to perform an actual stage production offered at the end of the camp as a public performance at Warner Grand Theatre. Students in TRS YOUTHORIZONS will rehearse and perform Disney's 'High School Musical.'
TRS YOUTHORIZONS Teen Musical Theatre Summer Camp is divided into two age groups: 6th to 8th graders, and 9th to 12th graders. The program is 4 weeks, 5 days per week from 9AM until 4PM. A supervised lunch period is taken each day at 12 noon for one hour. Courses are taught by screened theatre professionals. Parents are highly encouraged to participate in the end-of-camp performance by assisting with support positions such as ticket sales, set building, and other activities that can be scheduled to accommodate work schedules. Students must have reliable transportation to and from the education/rehearsal and performance venues. This transportation must be on time. The tuition cost per student is $350, with a 50% deposit due at the time of registration and the remainder due on or before the first day of class. Registration forms must be submitted no later than June 20, 2008.
TRS YOUTHORIZONS tuition costs for the 4-week program breaks down to as little as $87.50 per week or less than $18 per day, which breaks down to less than $2.60 per hour!
Ten scholarships will be awarded based on demonstrated financial need. Please visit our website to learn more and download the form:

Today, arts programming in public schools is severely diminished, but the arts do so much in the development of young minds. Students who are exposed to the performing arts and who participate in arts programming lead richer lives, build self-esteem, and are more likely to volunteer in their communities and become civically involved. Regardless of whether a student wishes to pursue a career in the arts or simply enjoys the participation and creative outlet that musical theatre offers, their lives will be enriched through enrollment in TRS YOUTHORIZONS. The number of students permitted in each class is limited, so those interested should not delay but enroll today. Call 310-929-8129, email
