Samsung Electronics Rings in 2010 with 23 ICES Innovation Awards

The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) has recognized Samsung Electronics, an established leader and innovator in consumer electronics, information technology, and telecommunications with 23 prestigious CES 2010 Innovation Awards, including three Eco-Design honors. Products entered in the CES Innovations program are judged by a prominent panel of industrial designers, engineers and members of the trade press.

important success Samsung has seen this year with our leading-edge product design and sustainability efforts that enrich the lives of consumers in the U.S. market," said CS Choi, president and CEO, Samsung Electronics America, Inc. "CEA is a prestigious industry organization and we are honored to be recognized for our technology innovation and engineering excellence by leading industry experts who judged the award competition.”

In all, Samsung Electronics award-winners include: three LED TVs, one plasma TV, three Blu-ray players, one home theater system, two digital audio players, two digital cameras, one refrigerator, six mobile phones, one LCD monitor, in addition to three eco-design product innovations.
All of Samsung's award-winning products will be on display during the 2010 International CES, January 7-10, 2010, in Samsung booth # 11026 in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

- The product’s intended use/function and user value
- Unique/novel features that consumers would find attractive


Products chosen as Innovations Honorees reflect innovative design and engineering. Examples may include the first time various technologies are combined in a single product or dramatic enhancements to previous product designs.
