      <title>Council Seeks To Rationalise Revenue Collector Staff</title>
      <description>The Council executive has proposed a series of measures aimed at making its revenue service more efficient, without incurring job losses among the existing 16 revenue collectors. The proposals are being implemented under a national framework agreement endorsed by the Labour Court in 2006, which would yield major efficiencies across the county according to the Council.

      <title>Valuable designer shoes in charity auction</title>
      <description>Designer shoe store Mia has given its backing to the charity event Heels 2 Help Heal by donating over £700 worth of designer shoes.

The two pairs of shoes will be among those auctioned at the women-only event in aid of Round Table Children’s Wish on Wednesday November 18 in the Oceanarium in Bournemouth.

Mia, which is based in Westover Road, has also promised to give customers a 10% discount on shoes or handbags bought from its stall on the night and will give a further 10% from each sale to Round Table Children’s Wish.

The ADRCSE is a local collaboration between the Southeast Center for Independent Living and Bristol Elder Services of Fall River, Coastline Elderly Services of New Bedford, and Old Colony Elder Services of Brockton that provides a coordinated system of information and access to long term services and supports for individuals, family members and providers, regardless of age, disability, or income.

Approximately 85 participants, including elders, people with disabilities, social workers, nurses, staff from councils on aging, hospitals, long term care facilities, home care agencies, and other human service organizations, attended the half-day program.
