NORTH PALM BEACH, Fla. – The international home furnishings company Roche Bobois has named Gladys Morales as showroom manager at its new 6,000-square-foot showroom, located at 136 U.S. Highway One in North Palm Beach.
Morales was a senior sales design consultant at the Roche Bobois showroom in Coral Gables where she started with the company in 2012. In that capacity, she worked with designers and private clientele across the country and world.
“To her credit, she is fluent in English and Spanish, which is an asset for conducting business in South Florida. Additionally, Gladys has generated sales exceeding one million dollars due to her expertise in visualizing, designing and implementing design solutions to achieve our clients’ objectives,” said Julien Bigan,
Roche Bobois’ U.S. South East general manager. “Making this multi-talented professional the showroom manager at our new North Palm Beach showroom was the next logical step in her career growth.”
Before joining Roche Bobois, Morales was general manager/sales manager at Zientte US, LLC, a manufacture/retailer in the Coral Gables-Brickell area. Her responsibilities included showroom management, staff oversight and mentoring to increase sales activity, as well as inventory and warehouse management control. She was also a design advisor on custom pieces for the showrooms and client projects, responsible for accounting tasks, and in charge of advertising to create company awareness and drive sales.
Morales’ previous positions were as a freelance design consultant for her own firm, Miami-based Gia By Design; account manager for Bentley Prince Street in Los Angeles, a high-profile commercial floor covering manufacturer; and account manager in the Commercial Division of Iberia Tiles in Miami, where she had a high success rate in closing transactions with prominent South Florida developers, builders, architects and designers.
Earlier, Morales was national showroom manager at the Design Center of the Americas (DCOTA) in Dania Beach, Florida. She managed upscale European furniture showrooms out of New York, Atlanta and Florida; created promotional sales and public relations events; developed marketing of product lines to interior design firms, builders, developers, architects and high-profile private clientele; and implemented annual advertising budgets. She also recruited personnel, conducted sales training and daily operational functions, was a buyer with manufacturers and vendors of exclusive Italian lines, and created company ads.
Morales is enrolled at Florida International University in Miami where she expects to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in 2013. Previously, she studied Interior Design at Miami Dade College, and Speech Communications at New York College of Technology in Brooklyn, New York.
