NEW YORK, April 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Robert S. Peckar, the founding partner of Peckar & Abramson and a recognized leader among the national construction bar, has been named Construction Lawyer of the Year 2007 in the Who's Who Legal Awards. It was the second straight year Mr. Peckar has won the award, which was inaugurated last year.

Mr. Peckar has devoted his career to serving the construction industry and bar. He taught at the AGC's Advanced Management Program for 16 years and has made presentations to other major national and local industry groups. He has served as General Counsel of the New York Building Congress (recently named General Counsel Emeritus), the Building Trades Employers Association of New York City, the national CFMA and the Building Contractors Association of New Jersey.
He has authored many articles on construction law topics, is the contributing author in several construction law textbooks, and is the author of New Jersey Practice: Construction Law. In addition, Mr. Peckar is a Fellow of the American College of Construction Lawyers, where he has chaired its ADR Committee.
Mr. Peckar has also been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America; and as a New York and New Jersey Super Lawyer in Construction Law. He graduated from Rutgers College and Columbia Law School.
