Students will be led through the process of putting on a musical culminating in performances on January 24 and 25, 2014.

Rising Stars Audition for Disney’s 101 Dalmatians Kids

WHAT: Auditions for Disney’s 101 Dalmatians Kids
AUDITIONS: Ages 7-10 on Monday, November 25 from 4:30-6:00 pm
Ages 11-18 or on Tuesday, November 26 from 4:30-8:15 pm
WHERE: Schauer Center, 147 N. Rural Street, downtown Hartford
Local youth ages 7-18 are invited to audition for the production at the Schauer Arts & Activities Center (147 N. Rural Street, Hartford). Auditions for ages 7-10 will take place on Monday, November 25 from 4:30-6:30 pm. Students
will be taught a song from the show and are not required to prepare any material. Auditions for ages 11-18 will be on Tuesday, November 26 from 4:30-8:15 pm. Students should prepare a short monologue and 16 bars of music. Auditions will take place in groups and students will be asked to stay for 30 minutes. Students ages 12 and above may also audition for crew positions on Tuesday, November 26 from 4:30- 6:00 pm. A detailed rehearsal schedule will be distributed to cast and crew at the first rehearsal on Thursday, December 5. Tentative rehearsals will run Tuesdays and Thursdays, December 5 to January 22 from 4:30-6:30 pm. Additional tech rehearsals will be scheduled two weeks prior to performance. Students will need to be absent from school on Friday, January 24, 2014.
There is no fee to audition. Approximately 50 students will be cast, and a tuition fee applies for those cast in the production. The tuition fee includes a show t-shirt, costume fee, and two complimentary tickets to one public performance.

The Schauer Center also offers visual and performing arts classes for all ages. Facilities are available to rent for social and business functions.
