RingCube Technologies, the leading provider of managed virtual workspaces, and Macnica Networks Corp., one of the leading distributors in Japan of network appliances, software, telecom and storage solutions with more than 20 years of experience in selling and localizing software for the Japanese market, announced today that the two companies have signed an agreement to distribute and support vDesk in the Japanese market. The partnership enables RingCube to expand its reach into the region, while enabling Macnica Networks to continue to deliver leading-edge solutions to its customer base by expanding its technology portfolio to include RingCube vDesk.
RingCube vDesk is a high-performance enterprise desktop virtualization solution that simplifies the creation, access and management of Windows desktops through Workspace Virtualization. With the
release of vDesk version 2.1, RingCube delivers Internationalization (I18N) and Localization (I10N) capabilities. RingCube can now add new local language support through the use of vDesk language packs. As a partner, Macnica Networks jointly develops and supports the Japanese language pack for RingCube’s award-winning desktop virtualization solution.
"Macnica Networks consistently identifies innovative new products that provide proven and powerful software solutions for our partners and customers," said Masahiro Miyabukuro, president, Macnica Networks.
"RingCube vDesk is one of the most innovative desktop virtualization solutions designed for Enterprise customers. We are excited about the ability of vDesk to help Japanese customers save on capital and operational expenditures, gain greater security control, and increase the speed of provisioning, recovery, and mobile access of their desktop computing environments. Local support is very important to Japanese customers and Macnica Networks is committed to providing the best services and support in partnership with RingCube."
vDesk’s unique Workspace Virtualization technology separates the user’s desktop environment (applications, data and settings) from the operating system and encapsulates it into a secure container. vDesk has the flexibility to deliver virtual desktops to users wherever they are through a variety of deployment options, including.
- PC – vDesk is stored and runs locally on the user’s PC
- Drive – vDesk is stored on portable drives such as USB
- Network – vDesk is stored on a network file share and run locally
- VDI – vDesk is stored in the data center and accessed remotely using VDI
"This partnership and integration with Macnica Networks will enable companies to make their IT operations more efficient, a necessity in today's economic climate," said Pete Foley, CEO RingCube. "Macnica Networks is a recognized technology leader with an excellent distribution network in Japan. Their expertise in delivering innovative technologies, service support, and Japanese local language software enablement make them an ideal match for our innovative desktop virtualization solution for Enterprise customers."
