British music impresario SIR TIM RICE was left shocked at the end of a court hearing yesterday (07FEB07) - when the judge requested his autograph just moments after fining him for speeding.
The lyricist, who penned musicals EVITA and JOSEPH with SIR ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER, was appearing in court for breaking the speed limit in Northampton, England last June (06).
Star-struck Magistrate WENDY LOVELL requested Rice's signature after issuing him with a £100 ($195) fine, and banning him from driving for just 28 days due to his "charity commitments".
Speaking in court, Lovell said, "We feel 28 days would not badly affect your work."
