Mama's on 39 in Huntington Beach will host a fundraiser on Wednesday, April 9 to benefit the family of a bicyclist killed over the weekend.

Genevieve Hall, 34, was struck by a hit-and-run driver just before 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 6 near the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Utica Avenue.

Spurred by a neighbor of Hall's, the restaurant fundraiser will help pay for her funeral expenses. Patrons can drop by the eatery from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. to donate to the cause. Later in the day at about 5:30 p.m., a local baseball team will take part in Mama's on 39's "Give Back Days" and donate the proceeds that the restaurant gives back to the team to help Hall's family.

Mama's on 39 is located at 21022 Beach Boulevard. For more information about the restaurant fundraiser, call 714- 374-1166. Information about the Mama's on 39 is also available online at
